Strang Herefords & Black Angus is located in Northwest Colorado’s White River valley.

This mountain valley is known for harsh winters of sub-zero temperatures, snow and requires cattle be rugged to thrive in its environment.  The Strang family has been in the  Hereford business for 58 years and added a Black Angus program 28 years ago. The Strangs’ four daughters, Mary, Ellen , Lisa and Sarah, were pivotal to the operation growing up and through their college years.  Today, Lisa and Tom Walsh and their family are on the ranch.

For Sale at Private Treaty

After 39 years of a Production Sale, we’ve switched to Private Treaty Sales.  However, nothing else has changed.   In several respects this will work better for everyone for it’ll accommodate everyone’s respective schedules, we won’t have to worry about a snowstorm on Sale Day and we’ll have time to visit personally about the cattle  – something not possible, in the past, on Sale Day.

                    We remain committed to standing behind the cattle and                       will continue to assist on all deliveries.  We will, also, honor our Sight Unseen policy should you not be able to make it to the ranch to select a bull/heifer and do so over the phone.   In this case you do not have to take delivery on an animal until you are satisfied once you’ve seen the individual.
